Amazing news this week for ZET Kayaks at the European Slalom Championships of 2021, where two ZET Chili paddlers, Vít Přindiš and Katerina Minarik Kudejova, took the first place prizes for both male and female categories in the first ever Extreme Slalom Cross Event.
European Canoe Slalom Championships
The European Canoe Slalom Championships is an annual canoe and kayak event organised by the European Canoe Association since 1996. This year's championships took place from the 6th to the 9th of May in Ivrea, Italy, were the 22nd edition of the competition and for the first time ever included the extreme canoe slalom events as they debuted this year.
This event was extra exciting as it also served as the European qualification for the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics to be held in Tokyo from July to August 2021.
Extreme Slalom Cross Event
Přindiš and Kudejova, who both hail from the Czech Republic, clinched gold medals in this exciting slalom event that was new to 2021, and they did it in none other than the ever-popular ZET Chili Kayak, proving its abilities as a fast and agile combination of the modern slalom boat and the river runner. The Chili also saw a sucess being paddled by Verča Vojtová who who grabbed the bronze medal also in a ZET Chili, proving you definitely can't go wrong with this elite boat!
