Welsh Canoe Symposium 2010 8-10 October 2010

The Welsh Canoe Symposium is the premier event for open canoeists around the UK.  Hosted by Gwersyll Glanllyn Outdoor Centre on the shores of Bala Lake.  Book your place here

This year special guest Mike Chanowski, owner of Wenonah Canoes. He will be giving a master class on open canoe technique. 

Mike Chanowski’s visit is supported by Outdoor Active and Canoe and Kayak Store.  Outdoor Active is the UK distributer of Wenonah Canoes. 

For this event we will be bringing our full range of Wenonah Demonstration boats including kevlar and Royalex models.

Venue
Gwersyll Glanllyn is an Outdoor Education Centre situated on the shores of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake). Owned by the Urdd (a Welsh National Youth Organisation), it is situated about 4 miles west of the town of Bala on the A494. The site has direct access to the lake shore & is within easy reach of a variety of other canoeing venues.

Dean and Dyball Raft Challenge, from the guys who built us, a charity raft challenge throughout the day.

DEMOLITION DUCKIE DERBY
Over 18? think you paddle a duckie without getting caught up on carnage corner? Then this is for you!  18 and over.

The event is FREE however if you are getting on the water to park and play (including demo) or compete then it's £10 for adults and £5 for youths (per day), why not buy the weekend deal of £15.

If you are competing then you will need to email the centre for a registration form and these must be received by the 27th of August

Come and join us for Cardiff International Paddlefest 2010, we will be joined by all the major manufacturers including Palm, Dagger and Pyranha.  Get coaching and advice from resident pros on flat water and white-water.

Also present will be a massive fleet of demo boats including our own large range.
