The Virgo is a compact but uncompromising sea kayak for weekend warriors, at a length which provides ample hull speed for short to medium journeys whilst keeping the boat weight to a minimum, making it easier to handle all the way from lifting it off the car, through a trip full of unique experiences, to lifting it back onto the car at the end of a great adventure.
The compact design and a defined carving rail combine to give responsive manoeuvrability for exploring varied coastline environments, and high stability ensures you can venture into the unknown with confidence too.
Packing in all the essential features you’d expect of any other sea kayak in the P&H range, including a low-profile back deck for easy rolling and re-entry, and the option of a Bow Mini Hatch just in front of the paddler, round out the Virgo’s design to make it something that’ll be a pleasure both to own and paddle.
Corelite X
P&Hs own corelite material combines a foam core with a tough outer layer to save weight and increase the stiffness of the hull creating lightweight, durable kayak that offers you the very best in plastic sea kayak construction. The corelite range is ideal for new comers to sea kayaking or those looking to take their kayak into rock gardens or surf. The Corelite X 2-3kgs lighter when compared to standard Corelite models, making the boat easier to handle both on and off the water. It also gives increased hull stiffness, resulting in higher performance on the water, with the hull cutting more cleanly and efficiently through the water.
MZ3
This is a new plastic compound that P&H have been trialling out for the past 2 years and can now confidently say that the significant increase in durability (independent lab tests show a toughness indicator improvement of over 50%, and Team P&H report a noticeable increase in scratch resistance). To signify the culmination completion of a transition to our leap with MZ3, we have given the P&H range an entirely new look for 2019.
